HVAC Design for new buildings or tenant improvement projects. Design can be simple split or rooftop
packaged equipment systems or more complex variable air volume or variable refrigerant systems.
Ventilation requirements can be provided by heat recovery ventilators or energy recovery ventilators.
Systems are typically designed to be energy and cost efficient based on load calculations and/or energy
modeling. Types of buildings supported include office, retail, warehouse, manufacturing, schools, and
restaurants.
Plumbing and Piping Design for new buildings or tenant improvement projects. Potable hot and cold
water piping, waste and vent piping, HVAC chilled water piping, HVAC heating water piping. Potable water
heaters, HVAC chillers, boilers, pumps, etc.
Sustaining Engineering. Investigate operational issues of HVAC and/or plumbing systems in existing
buildings. Design solutions or define a scope of work to solve the underlying issues in these buildings.
Some building owners do not have the on-site engineering staff to resolve these types of issues.
Forensic Engineering. Unfortunately building performance issues may lead to litigation. Forensic
engineering services are available to support legal teams involved in these cases when HVAC equipment,
HVAC controls, and other commercial building comfort issues are involved.
Building Evaluations. Owners, realtors, and potential purchasers of existing properties often need an
assessment of the HVAC and plumbing equipment in the buildings involved.
