Projects
American Society of Radiologic Technologists, Albuquerque, NM: Provided HVAC and plumbing design
for a new four story office/museum project. Utilized a high efficiency variable refrigerant heat pump
system with integral building management system for heating and cooling of the building. HVAC system
included high efficiency heat recovery ventilators to provide ventilation air to the building (demand based
in the museum).
Ohkay Owingeh Library, Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo, NM: Did HVAC and plumbing design for the
construction of a new library and tribal administrative office building. HVAC done with rooftop packaged
equipment using refrigerated air and gas heat with dedicated cooling system for network computer room.
Hooghan Hozho’, Gallup, NM: Provided HVAC design for the construction of a new three story low
income housing center. New facility includes resident’s apartments and administrative offices, community
meeting rooms, and restrooms. HVAC done with split system heat pumps with backup heat. Ventilation
of non-residential areas is provided by high efficiency heat recovery ventilators.
Navajo Technical College, Crownpoint, NM: Provided HVAC and plumbing designs for a new data
center building including the new data center for the college, classrooms, and administrative offices.
Utilized a state-of-the-art cooling system for the data center that uses outside air as primary cooling with
chilled water backup. Building HVAC design included a heat recovery system that uses rejected heat from
the data center servers to provide heat to other parts of the building during winter months. A building
management system was included in the design to monitor and control HVAC equipment.
Teesto Community Center, Teesto, NM: Provided HVAC and plumbing design for the construction of a
new community center. New facility includes full service kitchen, dining/assembly room, administrative
office, crafts room, and restrooms. HVAC done with rooftop packaged equipment using refrigerated air
and gas heat.
Retreat at Corrales Overlook Alzheimer’s Facility, Rio Ranch, NM: Provided HVAC and plumbing
design for the construction of a new Alzheimer’s care center. New facility includes full service kitchen,
dining/assembly room, administrative office, crafts room, soiled laundry facility, living quarters, and
restrooms. HVAC done with high efficiency rooftop packaged equipment using refrigerated air and gas
heat. Ventilation provided by high efficiency energy recovery ventilators.
Spaceport America Wellhouse, Sierra County, NM: Designed HVAC, ventilation, and plumbing for the
wellhouse at the new Spaceport America facility utilizing evaporative cooling in the main pump room and
refrigerated air in the chemical handling room.
Manzano Day School Expansion, Albuquerque, NM: Provided HVAC and plumbing design for a school
expansion project including science lab, four classrooms, kitchen, cafeteria / performance center, library,
art room, music room, server room, admissions offices, and restrooms. Utilized rooftop packaged HVAC
equipment with refrigerated air and gas heat.
University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, NM: Provided HVAC and plumbing design for the construction
of a practice gymnasium for the UNM Lobos men’s and women’s basketball teams. New facility includes
double sized basketball court, coach’s offices and locker rooms, dining hall, study hall, server room,
projection auditorium, and restrooms. HVAC done with rooftop packaged equipment using refrigerated
air and gas heat.
PolyFlow Manufacturing, Albuquerque, NM: Provided the HVAC and plumbing system designs for a
high tech manufacturing facility and two-story office building including a data center server facility. Used
evaporative cooling with gas unit heaters in the manufacturing building. Additional design was for water
purification system, compressed air system, process exhaust system, and clean room. HVAC for office
building was a variable air volume system monitored and controlled by a building energy management
system.
Los Cuates Restaurant, Albuquerque, NM: Designed the HVAC, kitchen exhaust, and plumbing systems
for the Los Cuates restaurant project. Systems included rooftop packaged units (with special
consideration for smoke control in the bar area), kitchen exhaust system, kitchen make-up air system,
steam boiler, high temperature hot water loop, grease interceptor, and gas piping for the cooking battery.
Jones Lang LaSalle, Rio Rancho, NM: Provided sustaining engineering services in support of the
construction, start-up, commissioning, and operations of three data centers and a 35,000 square foot
semiconductor test facility for a JLL customer. Wrote commissioning procedures, operating procedures,
maintenance procedures, tested SCADA control systems, and provided technician training.
Albuquerque Public Schools: Provide ongoing sustaining engineering support to evaluate HVAC systems
in schools and other APS buildings in support of their facilities staff.
Belen Community Center Expansion: Designed HVAC and ventilation system for full size
gymnasium/multi-purpose room utilizing rooftop packaged refrigeration units with gas heat. Project
included fitness room and other miscellaneous rooms.
